this is a really good tutorial on linearts and cell shading in photoshop cs.. pretty similar .. plus maui's just kickass.... link

image>adjustments>levels... play around with the little triangles... i suggest the middle one...

then to get rid of all the little gray junk

magic wand>click on gray area>rightclick>similar>delete>rightclick>deselect...
